About Coach

Maddy has been an avid CrossFitter for over a decade with a long list of accomplishments. She began her CrossFit career in early 2010, jumping right into competition and making it to Regionals in Colorado just two months after beginning CrossFit. She played Collegiate softball at the University of Missouri. After graduation, she returned home to Iowa where she began coaching CrossFit at her local affiliate as well as competing in the Sport of CrossFit. Her team placed 34th in 2012, 18th in 2013, and 8th in 2015. Her competitive career ended abruptly in 2015 at the Central Regional where she suffered a devastating injury taking her team from 1st to 8th place. From there Maddy went back to school to become an LMT where she met her husband (Dr. Dalton Doudna D.C.) and they started their family.

Turning Point

Motivation & Passion

My motivation for coaching has always come from the members, they inspire me to be better and help more and more people achieve their goals. Since becoming a mom, my passion has come from my kids. I look through their lens a lot. I want them to know what strong, empowered, motivated, people look like and I want them to strive to be like them. You’ll often see my kids in the gym mimicking members and “trying to work out” with them and I absolutely love that. How can you not smile knowing that you’re inspiring kids and adults of all ages? That’s pretty dang cool!
I also know what it’s like trying to juggle all the aspects of fitness and nutrition as a parent. Too often we turn to what is “easy” or “quick” instead of what is “healthy” and I want to help change people's mindset around that. As nutrition coaches, we work on improving our lives as a whole, from a habit-based approach. We look at lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, stress, exercise, and support systems to see where we need to improve and help live fuller, healthier lives.
